Description

The Asmara is a beautiful tassel handcrafted in Bali and made with Cowry shells, Cotton and Hemp rope. Our tassel range has been specially designed for our bed canopies.

This decoration is originally from Papua New Guinea and is used in traditional ceremonies. The Dayak People from Kalimantan used these shells for their family ceremonies.

The Asmara comes in a set of 2.

We advise: 1 set for a ‘2-door bed canopy’ and 2 sets for a ‘4-door bed canopy’. 

Each panel/door can be tied up with 1 tassel. The ‘4-door version’ has 4 panels/doors so 2 sets are required. 

Materials & Details

Each item is carefully handmade by artisans, and products may have slight differences from the one pictured in shape, size and colour.

Part of its beauty, no two are exactly alike.

Care

All our items are made only with natural materials. When cleaning the product, please only use lukewarm water and gently clean the product without soaking it.

I received the Surya model and it's excellently made! The quality and understated elegance of Balinese craftsmanship are evident, and the fabric is ample enough to cover a large bed and have a canopy.

The mosquito net has been upgraded to a must have in my bedroom. I have the largest bed for sale in the Netherlands and the XXL fits beautifully with walking room on all sides for enter/exit and making the bed. Very durable too, only small, easily fixable holes after 3 years of daily use.
